When we go through difficult times in life, it’s sometimes hard to see Gods hand in it.
Our first daughter, Anika (5 years old), was born with undiagnosed Spina Bifida. Because of this she’s partly paralyzed and uses a wheelchair to get around. She’s been to the operating room 20 times and counting. Our second daughter, Esti, was born 14 months after Anika but only lived for 2 days. She had a severe heart problem (Hypoplastic Leftheart Syndrome).
At first we were afraid to fall pregnant again – but God sent a lady to us who told us that He wants us to know that we will have a son in a years time, and we must call him Reuben.
A year later, Reuben was born, a beautiful healthy little boy.
When bad things happen to us, it FEELS as if God moves further away from us – but actually we know that God is a constant, absolute truth, He ALWAYS stays the SAME, He is always here for us. He always loves us and cares for us in the same way. He can’t move closer to or further away from us, even if it sometimes feels as if we are not in His hand anymore.
When we go through trauma or difficult times, we NEED STRENGTH in order to keep head above water and in order to cope with the situation. It’s then, when you can CHOOSE to turn to GOD for that strength.. Each and every day He has NEW STRENGTH AND JOY for everyone of us, and ENOUGH of it to get through our situations – it’s UP TO YOU to take it and make it yours!
What helped me a lot, was to look at the bigger picture – it doesn’t matter how big your battle may seem, Jesus ALREADY WON the battle for you, He is already victorious!
No one ever said that there will be no hard or challenging times.
Kari Jobe sings a song with the words: “The more I SEEK You, the more I FIND You. The more I FIND You, the more I LOVE You. I want to sit at Your feet, drink from the cup in Your hand, lay back against You and breathe, it’s overwhelming!” httpss://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NI_1YliutzA

It’s there at His feet, against his chest. where we can GET FILLED with His strength, hope and joy.
We will dance again with joy!
Always remember EARTH HAS NO SORROW THAT HEAVEN CAN’T HEAL!!!
