Have you ever invited someone over to your house for Sunday lunch, only to realise that you forgot that you won’t have a house anymore on Sunday…
Couldn’t help but laugh at myself this evening.
As some of you already know, we as a special needs family will be heading off to Europe soon to share our (God’s) story of hope and work/school from there for a few months. Earlier this evening, I invited a friend over for Sunday lunch after church, and only realised later on that we will be “homeless” by Sunday…
What a weird feeling, exciting and scary all at once.
So I will have to ask my mother-in-law (where we will stay for a few days before we leave) whether we can have lunch at her house on Sunday 🙂
Then I remembered, one of the things we want to teach our kids in life, is that home is not about earthly belongings or buildings, home is not a physical residence or address. We want them to feel “home” wherever they are with God and with family & friends.
Luckily mom-in-laws house is still home to us 🙂 – Crazy, fun times ahead!!
