The people who know me well will tell you that I (almost) never get mad. My husband says he loves the fact that we are both too lazy to fight or argue! I don’t have patience, I AM patience.
When I was writing about “lost in translation” the other day, I suddenly remembered something that happened MANY years ago.
Me and my ex boyfriend had a huge fight – now that on it’s own was a huge event, given the fact that I (almost) never get mad! I can’t even remember what the fight was about, but I do remember (and will NEVER forget) what happened the next day.
He couldn’t get away from work, and he knew that he had to make up and say sorry, so he sent the driver with the company truck (luckily a small one) to the local supermarket with money to buy me some flowers. The driver pitched up at our house (I was still living with my parents) with 4 HUGE (like in 12.5 kg) packs of Cake Flour!
“Mam, he says he is very sorry, I must go and buy and bring you some flour”
….so my mother had Cake Flour supply for a year! (and it cost him double because I still wanted my flowers!)
So what do you learn out of this? …DON’T send someone else to fix your problems, do it yourself!
